Answers to the questions we hear most. Can't find what you need? Email us and a real person will get back to you.
Getting started
Gutty works as a guest right away — no account needed. Open the app, log a meal by snapping a photo, scanning a barcode, or typing it in, and you'll see the Kcal and processed score straight away. Create an account later if you want your data backed up and synced across devices.
Scanning and logging food
Point the camera at a barcode to scan a packaged product, or take a photo of a meal and Gutty's AI will identify what's on the plate. You can always fix a misread item afterwards — tap the entry and correct the name, portion, or ingredients, and Gutty will re-score it.
Understanding your processed score
Every food gets a rating from Low to Very High based on how processed it is, plus a 0–100 score. Your day rolls this up into one processed-food score alongside your Kcal total. "Biggest Offenders" on the Calories tab shows exactly which foods pulled your score down, so you know what to swap out next time.
Ask Gutty AI
If a food scores poorly, ask Gutty AI what to eat instead — it'll suggest whole-food swaps and recipes from the Gutty library that fit what you're already doing. You can save any recipe it suggests for one-tap logging later.
Your account, sync, and data
Guest data stays on your device until you sign in with Apple, Google, or email — after that it syncs to your account automatically. You can delete your account and all server-side data at any time from Profile → Account in the app. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on what we store and why.
Gutty Pro and billing
Gutty Pro subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through Apple. To view, change, or cancel a subscription, go to iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple directly — Gutty doesn't have access to your payment details.
Report a bug or request a feature
Email us with what happened, what you expected instead, and a screenshot if you have one — that's usually enough for us to track it down. Feature requests are just as welcome.
